Homeschooling a better chance for kids

Updated: Mar 24, 2022

Hi, welcome to our blog.

The global pandemic and mandates have many parents/grandparents still adapting to their new situation of working from home and at the same time, making sure their children/grandchildren receive quality schooling. It is a very challenging task. We have a few tips for you so enjoy the read.

I am a father and grandfather (60 years old), two of my children are still in the university and my grandchildren are in their public-school years. I am sure you can agree, the children are more stressed, sad, can’t sleep very well and experiencing other social issues.

So, we decided to do our part in helping parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles give their children up-to-date and fun ways of learning at home.

1. First, check with your local government about homeschool requirements, in some countries like Germany it is still illegal (very old-fashioned). Still, you can hybrid the children’s education.

2. The right curriculum and educational tools are very important, they should be engaging, and colorful.

3. Routines and schedules are important, learn also to be flexible and keep lessons short (keeps you and your child motivated).

4. Connect with other homeschoolers online for tips and recommendations.

I don’t want to bore you with a long list, just a few short tips. I just want you to be empowered and know, you are not alone. And even if you are sending your child to school, it wouldn’t hurt to fill eventual holes with some fun home learning in the sense of unit study.

Have you heard of Unit Study?

Unit studies can help your child develop into a self-motivated learner, eager to see what the world has to offer. Unit studies are flexible and can be adjusted to fit the child, instead of trying to fit the child into a curriculum.

These studies do not involve dry reading or memorization, busy work, endless worksheet completion, and bored children. Instead, their studies involve learning about one topic in an interesting and engaging way that will captivate your children and make them want to learn more.

As a company, we have teamed up with UnitStudy and recommend this partner to all. We will be adding more professional help for you in the future, so stay tuned.

Many blessings to you all.
